La scorsa edizione abbiamo realizzato una piccola LAN Party per giocare insieme. Ecco alcune cose di cui tener conto per organizzarci quest'anno.
- Gli spazi: se sappiamo quanti siamo possiamo definire quanto spazio ci serve. Se siete interessati fatelo sapere!
- I giochi: definire a priori cosa giocare, così possiamo procurarci tutti gli stessi giochi prima dell'inizio della convention. Se pensate di scaricare i giochi una volta sul posto... beh vi sbagliate! La connessione internet può diventare molto lenta quando sono connessi tutti.
- I cavi di rete + hub: questo è il classico problema delle lan party. Ci servono uno o più hub per connettere i computer; ne posso portare uno a 16 porte. I cavi sono un'altra questione: non bastano, sono troppo corti e io potrei non averne per tutti (i cavi sono gli ethernet CAT5, con connettore RJ45 per la precisione). Portate cavi sufficientemente lunghi (per piacere :3).
- L'alimentazione: l'ultima volta si è dovuto spostare i mobili per trovare una presa e i cavi volanti non erano il massimo della sicurezza. Un po' di roba la porto, ma teniamo anche conto di questo.

The last edition we arranged a small LAN Party to play together. Here's some stuff that we should consider to arrange this year's LAN Party.
- The space: we have to know how many of us want to play so we can arrange our spaces accordingly. If you're interested let us know that!
- The games: we have to decide which games we’re going to play before the beginning of the convention, so we can make sure to have the same games. If you're thinkinga about download a game once you’re there.. well, that's not a great idea as the internet connection can be really slow when a lot of people are connected!
- Ethernet cables and switches: this is a classic problem in LAN-Parties, we have to connect PCs through one or more hubs; I can bring a 16-port hub. Cables are another issue: there aren't enough of them, they're too short and I may not have enough cables for everyone (cables are CAT5 Ethernet cables with a RJ45 connector). Cables must be of a decent length though (please :3)
- Power cords: this tends to be a worse problem than it may seem. We have to know who might be able to bring some extension cords and strips (Italian standards are compatible with CEE7 standard Type L, C, E, F (Shucko) AC plugs with 220-240v and 50Hz). I can bring some, but let's not forget about this point.
