Hello everyfur :3

This year we decided to open a contest to choose which articles to publish on our conbook! Here's how it works:

>What kind of articles will get published?

Generally we'll publish any furry-themed, newspaper-styled article, short essay, short story or review, provided with related or representative images, both with a PG-rated content limit (no erotic or pornographic contents). Fantasy/medieval-themed short stories or articles are much appreciated because of this year's theme, although the ability of your work to raise curiosity, interest, to captivate the reader, will be taken in even greater consideration.

>What are the requirements for the text?

Due to page layout and conbook space reasons, the articles will have to be about 600 words long (4000 characters, spaces included). Moderately lengthier articles might be shortened by the publisher, whenever possible. Excessively short or lengthy articles might be rejected for due to page layout problems. Articles written by foreign guest (in English) are much appreciated, as long as their grammar is correct (small mistakes can be corrected by the publisher), the text is fluent and the form is consistent with the topic.

Accepted formats: .doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf, .odt (might have some formatting problems with the last one)

What are the requirements for the images?

You should attach at least 5 medium-hi res images (min 500 x 500 pixel) to the submitted text, among which we'll pick 2 to be published along that. Images that have a too low resolution cannot be properly printed, and will be disregarded. Bear in mind that the pictures in the conbook will be only a few inches/centimeters big, so we suggest to look for simple subjects that will still look good in a small size (i.e. a face, a character, an item) avoiding landscapes or sceneries whose details might be lost when the images are shrunk to their printing size. Images that have a see-through/transparent background (alpha channel, .PNG) are much appreciated.

Accepted formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .bmp, .tiff

>How do I join the contest?

To join the contest you simply have to send all the files (text + min. 5 images) to the following email address [email protected] before June 30, 2015. You can submit different versions of the same article/story or send more than one article/story, as long as you attach 5 images for each text. Remember to tell us the name/nickname you'd like to sign your work with (or tell us if you wish to remain anonymous).

>What if I'd like to submit something different?

Have you got something in your paws that is much shorter than an article/story (like a poem, proverb, tong-twister) and still furry-themed? Don't hesitate to submit it! If we're able to find a spot on the conbook we'll be happy to publish it! :)
If you're skilled in creating puzzles and games like crosswords, rebus, riddles (still furry-themed) don't hesitate to contact us and if we like your work we might try and dedicate a whole page of the conbook to your games!

Note: The publisher reserves the right to moderately edit the text, whenever that might be needed for page layout reasons, still being true to the original meaning of the sentences. The publisher reserves the right to add images of his choice, whenever the ones that are submitted aren't as effective or fitting with the design of the page, or to crop/edit those that have been submitted. This contest is based on the same criteria of interest, contents, quality, collaboration and responsibility that are used for panel approval.
